Wynell Blackwell

Wynell is the owner of Blackwell Agency, Inc. She bought the agency in 1980. At the time, she was one of only a handful of female business owners in the county. Under her leadership the business has prospered over the past 25 years. For years, she was the agency's sole employee and she rented a one room office. Today, the agency employs five agents and owns the spacious building at 195 West Main Street.

Bob Blackwell

In 1985, Bob took early retirement from a government position at Dobbin Air Force Base to assist his wife, Wynell in running the insurance agency. The county was beginning to grow and consequently, the agency was starting to grow. He quickly caught onto the business and immediately earned his Agent's license. His business background and eye for detail have been assets to his position in the agency. In addition to handling routine agent duties, he handles many of the financial and administrative aspects of the agency. Today, he and Wynell are co-owners of Blackwell Agency, Inc

Eddie Blackwell

In 1986, Bob and Wynell's youngest son, Eddie decided to leave a position in law enforcement and join the ranks of the family insurance business. Eddie's personality and involvement in local politics as a two-term school board member made him a natural in the business. After meeting the requirements to become licensed he quickly became the agency's top producer. Eddie's focus is mainly on Commercial Lines as well as managing the day to day office operations.

Eddie is married to the former Danita Williams and they have two children, Drew and Emily. Bob, Wynell and Eddie are all active members of the First Baptist Church of Waleska.

Susan Blackwell Kea

In 1996, after a twenty-five year career with BellSouth, Susan took early retirement to join the family business. She brought with her a management background, a degree from Shorter College in Business management and an extensive working knowledge of computers. Her first order of business was to install a computer network and automate the agency. Today, her concentration is on Personal Lines, Individual Health and System Administration.

Susan is married to Jim Kea and they have three children, Chris, Cameron and Lexanne. They reside in Roswell, Georgia and are active members of the Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church.

Mary Payne

Mary joined the agency in 1993. Mary is not a Blackwell, but she is like one of the family! Mary's previous experience and the training she has received since she has been with our agency have made her one of our most valuable employees. She is a licensed agent and services all of our accounts. If you have any questions about your account, Mary is the one to call.

She is married to Gerald (Sonny) Payne and they have two children, Scott and Kim. Mary is an active member of the First Baptist Church of Canton.
